Maryland’s Six Flags America has “Wonder”-ful timing, opening up a new Wonder Woman-themed thrill ride just in time to match up with its namesake’s hitting gold at the box office, according to The Washington Times.
The DC Comics character has a hit movie in theaters, and Six Flags recently opened up its “Wonder Woman: Lasso of Truth” extreme swing ride, which takes riders flying 24 stories up in the air before spinning them around at speeds up to 40 miles per hour. The new attraction is the tallest in the park, according to the Times.
“We wanted an iconic ride that redefined our skyline, and we believed this tower ride was the next big thing for us,” said Dave Johnson, Six Flags America’s director of marketing, in the article. “With this being the summer of Wonder Woman, we are so fortunate to have this ride in our park that offers a tremendous view and thrill for our guests.”
