Three certified options for POS hardware, coupled with industry-leading specialty software, provides flexibility, ease-of-use and better control to run a business
MILPITAS, Calif.— Elo, a global supplier of touchscreen solutions, today announced SelbySoft, Inc., a supplier of café point of sale (POS) systems, has certified three of Elo’s all-in-one solutions for use with SelbySoft’s SP-1 POS software. This certification enables SelbySoft to offer a customizable platform of versatile software and hardware solutions built on Elo’s broad portfolio of trusted POS hardware for restaurant and retail customers.
SelbySoft’s SP-1 POS software is customized to fit the niche requirements of two primary retail markets: coffee and pizza. The specialty beverage industry has unique needs, and SP-1 is specifically tailored to suit coffee retailers with built-in customer engagement and loyalty programs. SP-1 for Coffee was the official POS software powering America’s Best Coffeehouse competitions in 2015, while SP-1 for Pizza & Restaurants is built with ease of use and functionality in mind, with special features like F.A.S.T. ordering and tools for delivery management and order tracking.
Elo solutions, certified by SelbySoft, include the X-Series, E-Series and PayPoint all-in-one POS terminals. Elo’s X-Series is known for its flexible configuration options that meet the diverse needs of a wide variety of retailers. Elo’s E-Series offers commercial reliability with a small footprint while maintaining affordability. In addition, Elo’s new PayPoint platform delivers the style and simple, integrated functionality retailers demand, including a built-in, flip-to-sign touchscreen, barcode reader, cash drawer, receipt printer and customer-facing display. SelbySoft certified the sleek and modern PayPoint devices for Windows® operating systems.
“Elo’s broad portfolio of innovative and versatile POS solutions provides a strong foundation for software partners like SelbySoft to deliver a streamlined package to power a retailer’s business,” said Craig Witsoe, CEO of Elo. “SelbySoft offers exceptional value to coffee, pizza and restaurant retailers, making it the right certification partner to help us better serve this market.”
Restaurant customers continue to expect more from their experience. Providing a streamlined and satisfying POS encounter—one that goes beyond the transaction and builds loyal engagement—can be the difference between a retailer’s success and failure. Today’s POS is expected to deliver value beyond the checkout; an innovative solution must help engage the customer and build relationships, brand loyalty and keep customers coming back. Together, Elo and SelbySoft deliver an all-in-one POS solution capable of meeting the needs of the modern restaurateur.
“We know our customers need more than just POS software; they need a business partner,” said Mike Spence, president of SelbySoft, Inc. “Certification of Elo’s POS hardware portfolio with our industry-leading software provides our customers with versatility and ease-of-use, empowering them to design a POS experience that keeps customers loyal and employees happy.”
